Author: If you’re using windows Vista then you may experience the 0×8007232b error when you are trying to activate the operating system. This is a very common error message and should only happen when trying to activate the program.
Causes of the 0×8007232b error
The 0×8007232b error should only be noticed if you are trying to install windows and activating using volume licensed media. There shouldn’t be any other causes of this error however if you do experience this error at other times then it’s probably caused by viruses or possibly spyware.
Learning how to Fix the 0×8007232b error
Fixing the 0×8007232b error is easier than you might imagine, however the method you use will depend on the cause of the problem in the first place. If the problem is caused by a virus then running a virus scan should sort the problem out.
If the problem isn’t virus related then you can resolve this problem in a few different ways. If your network has more than 25 computers in it then you can install a KMS (Key Management Service). This means that all of the computers can be activated at once but you will need to repeat the process every 6 months.
If you don’t have KMS or can’t install one for some reason then you will be able to use a multiple activation key. This must be inputted to every computer individually and they will all contact the Microsoft activation server. This will cure the 0×8007232b error very easily.
Using a License Key
If you don’t have 25 computers then you can apply to use a license key to fix the 0×8007232b error. You must register for this key on the Microsoft eOpen website.

Thanks, I had the 0×8007232b error, it was probably because of a registry error because when I used the fix tool from above it found lots of registry errors, when I fixed them with the software, I stopped getting this error.
